By Remo. Key-Tuned Tubano - Kinte Kloth Finish.

Tunable drums have the advantage of allowing you to adjust the pitch to your own preference. Tubanos are a Remo Drum Company exclusive. Conga-like in sound, the tubano features an internal resonating tube and four molded feet to allow full resonance without using a floor stand or tilting the drum. The Acousticon shell is manufactured from recycled hardwood fibers and is unaffected by climatic changes; NuSkyn head gives a comfortable sound, feel, and warmth without unwanted overtones. Uniquely accessible to everyone, from professional performers to children standing while playing to music therapists working with wheelchair-bound patients.

Our drumming ensemble was given a monetary gift; the special price for the set of three allowed us to add more members to the ensemble.

Expanding my drums at school and am investing in key-tuned instruments because the heads can be replaced instead of buying new drums when the heads wear out.

These are great in the elementary music classroom. They are very durable for students; have a warm, conga-like sound; and are easy on the hands. A great student model hand drum!

I recently borrowed some tubanos for use i n church and they worked great! The ones I borrowed had handles on the side of each drum that were awesome.Do these tubanos have a handle on the side for transporting them?
Nancy S on Apr 26, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these drums each have a plastic handle on the side for easy transportation.
how do I tune a tubano?
A shopper on Jun 1, 2012
BEST ANSWER: In order to tune your tubano, you need to find the key included with it. Start at the screw at 12 o'clock and adjust it tighter for a higher sound and looser for a lower sound. Next move to 6 o'clock and turn it the same amount and in the same direction. Repeat for 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock until you have reached the desired pitch.
